Join local artist and calligrapher Risa Aqua for a two-hour workshop on Hebrew calligraphy, an artform that can lead to beautiful and meaningful handmade gifts to give to loved ones. During the workshop, participants will first learn the basics of the Hebrew alphabet and how to handle a calligraphy pen and then design their own piece of calligraphy with a Hebrew word or phrase.
Materials will be provided but supplies are limited to the first 20 participants.
This workshop is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association. Made possibly the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
