Discover, learn and take action for a greener future at the Broomfield Earth Day Celebration—bring your friends, family and neighbors! Stop by the Broomfield Library Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon to participate in eco-themed activities for all ages such as:

  • Community seed swap
  • Bike repair station (registration required)
  • Electric vehicle (EV) ride and drive (registration required)
  • Energy Experts Speaker Series
  • Mulch giveaway (bring your own buckets)
  • Community and CCOB organizations tabling
Know Before You Go

Seed Library

Excited to start your summer garden? Stop by the celebration to participate in the community seed swap! Attendees can bring extra seeds to share, take home new varieties and sign up to participate in the Broomfield Seed Library, where you can check out or donate seeds year round. Fill out a membership form to get started!

Bike Repair Station

Got a bike in need of some TLC? Bring it to the event and let the skilled volunteer repair team work their magic at the new, free bike repair station! Ensure a spot by registering your bike in advance through the provided Bike Repair Sign-Up Form by Friday, April 11. Limited slots are available, so sign up early for a pedal-perfect experience! 

Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride and Drive

Here's your chance to take an electric vehicle for a spin! Participate in the EV Ride and Drive Showcase, presented in partnership with Go Electric Colorado, a nonprofit dedicated to helping Coloradans embrace the benefits of an electric lifestyle. Sign up for a test drive and experience the thrill of driving an EV firsthand or stop by to explore a variety of models and chat with EV owners about their real-world experiences. Space is limited for test drives—register now to reserve your spot! 

Energy Experts Speaker Series

Want to save money on energy bills and make your home more efficient? Drop by the Speaker Series in the Auditorium during the Earth Day Celebration! Experts will share insights on home energy efficiency, electric vehicles and available rebates to help you make informed, cost-saving choices.

Mulch Giveaway

Get your spring garden off to a great start with free mulch! Stop by and pick up some nutrient-rich mulch produced by the Tree Branch Recycling Center to help your plants thrive. Bring your own containers or buckets and take home as much as you need – while supplies last! 

Volunteer

Looking to make a difference and get your hands dirty this Earth Day? Volunteer at the Broomfield Earth Day Celebration! Volunteers will kick off the celebration by setting up, assisting with the guest speaker series, distributing mulch, supporting the bike repair station, engaging with the community through participant counting and feedback collection and providing other essential event support as needed. The volunteer shift lasts from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
