Broomfield’s most famous resident is getting his day in the spotlight! Join the Shep the Turnpike Dog Look-Alike Contest at the Broomfield Depot Museum. Bring along a Shep-inspired pup to compete for fun prizes—or just come to cheer, cast your vote for your favorite pooch and enjoy the festivities. Families are encouraged to stop by even without a dog to learn the story of Shep, explore the Depot Museum, and discover a piece of Broomfield’s history from the days of the Denver-Boulder Turnpike in the 1960s. It’s history, community and a whole lot of tail-wagging fun!
