Program Description

Event Details

Join the library for Tech Conversation Hour! The topic of the conversation is Technology & The Climate. Computer systems engineers and computational scientists from NCAR/UCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research/University Corporation for Atmospheric Research) will present on their work with Derecho, the new supercomputer NCAR installed in 2023.

A facilitator will provide optional readings and videos ahead of time via email, as well as proposed discussion questions - if you would like to receive these materials ahead of the program, register with your email below.

Immediately following this Tech Conversation Hour audience members will have the opportunity to talk with the special guests about their career trajectories.

 

People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend - the more different ideas in the room, the better the conversation. Don't feel like registering? No problem! Just drop in.
