Program Description

Event Details

Broomfield Library offers exam proctoring during specific appointment times. Please read the proctoring guidelines before registering.

Exam Proctoring Guidelines

  1. Registration opens at 9 a.m. one month before the date of the proctored exam and closes at 9 p.m. one week before the date of the proctored exam.
  2. There is a limit of one exam per month per student. If a registrant signs up for more than one slot in a month, ALL appointments for that month will be cancelled.
  3. Students must ensure the library receives the necessary materials by the morning of the exam (emailed to referencedesk@broomfield.org). Otherwise, the proctoring appointment will be cancelled.
  4. The proctor will not be present in the room with the student, but will monitor through a glass door.
  5. The library cannot guarantee that the proctor will be a librarian or a full-time employee.

On the day of your exam, please bring your photo ID with you and check in at the desk on the second floor.

Additional Information

  • Exams are accepted on a case-by-case basis, even if the library has already proctored an exam for a particular student or institution in the past.
  • Exams may be scheduled for a maximum of three hours.
  • Exams will take place in a library study room. Each study room offers the following amenities: table, chairs, desktop computer, two data ports, whiteboard, large TV screen, and electrical outlets. For online exams, the student may use their own laptop or the library's desktop computer.
  • Completed exams will only be returned to the student's institution by email, online code, stamped mail or prepaid delivery service (e.g. Federal Express or UPS). The student or student's institution is responsible for return postage in the case of stamped mail returns; FedEx and unstamped envelopes will not be accepted. Library staff will return the exam the day it is completed.
  • Broomfield Library and the City and County of Broomfield reserve the right to refuse exam proctoring services at any time.
  • Broomfield Library is not a certified proctor location for Brigham Young University.

In accordance with the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights, the library does not limit exam proctoring based on the subject matter or content of the exam or on the beliefs or affiliations of the student or their institution.
