Writing can be hard. Let the Broomfield Writing Center (BWC) at the library help!

How it Works:
The BWC is a place for all writers to seek feedback on their writing at any point in the process.

Writers who need help will be paired with writing center consultants for 45 minutes. Consultations will consist of 35 minutes of advising followed by reflection and evaluation.

What is a writing center consultation?
Writing center consultations will address a variety of concerns and questions. These can include how to get started, outlining, interpreting assignment instructions, brainstorming ideas, coaching past self-doubt and anxieties, addressing questions about logic and language, and working with writers on citing and referencing sources.

Consultations are not intended to be proofreading or copyediting sessions. Sentence level issues can be discussed. However, consultations should focus on larger ideas and engaging with the writing process.

Consultations are not the time for unsolicited instruction. Writers are expected to arrive for their sessions with the assignments they are working on or specific problems in mind. Consultants will then work through these concerns based on writers' goals for specific pieces of writing.
