Program Description
Event Details
Book some time to discuss a Bram Stoker Award and Shirley Jackson Award-winning book in a welcoming setting with fellow community members! This is the third of four sessions that will be held at the Broomfield Library as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Library program over the course of 2026.
At the Sept. 15 meeting participants will discuss "The Only Good Indians" by Stephen Graham Jones. A masterful blend of horror and powerful social commentary, "The Only Good Indians" follows four American Indian men as they deal with the consequences of an action from their youth. Copies of the discussion questions along with a biography, bibliography and read-alikes will be available at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library starting Aug. 17, 2026.
The full list of titles to be discussed by the Between Two Worlds Book Group includes:
- "Tevye the Dairyman" by Sholem Aleichem (Feb. 3, 2026)
- "The Zelmenyaners" by Moyshe Kulbak (April 7, 2026)
- "The Only Good Indians" by Stephen Graham Jones (Sept. 15, 2026)
- "A Jewish Refugee in New York" by Kadya Molodovsky (Dec. 8, 2026)
This discussion is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program, a partnership with the American Library Association. Made possible by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
